Ignou application form for Change of programme- The Indira Gandhi National Open University provides an option for its students to apply for the change of their programme if they require it. It can be done for both Bachelor as well as Master Degree courses within 30 days from the receipt of the first set of course material in the first year only.

The credit and fee details are mentioned below:

• To change from B.A. to B.Com./BTS/BSW or vice-versa or B.Com to B.A./BTS/BSW or vice-versa or B.Sc. to B.A./B.Com/BTS/BSW, the students need to pay Rs.500/- + Rs.300/-  per 2/4 credit course and Rs.600/- per 6/8 credit course.For change of Programme from B.A./B.Com to BTS/BSW, the student will be required to pay the difference of fee in addition to Rs.500/ –
  stated above. No change is permitted from B.A./B.Com/BTS/BSW to B.Sc.
• For Master’s Degree Programme such as MEG, MHD, MPS, MAH, MPA, MSO, MEC, MARD, M.Com, MAPY, MAPC, etc the change is permitted only in the first year of study. The applicant has to pay the full fee for the new Programme selected by him and no refund will be paid for the earlier fee. The students are not required to return the old course material.

The applicants need to make the payment of the fee for change in programme in the form of Demand Draft(DD) drawn in favor of “IGNOU” payable at the place of concerned Regional Centre.

It should be noted that students can apply for the change of medium only at their concerned Regional Centre as per schedule. We have provided below the form required to apply for any kind of change:
